In december 2022 one of the most influential couturiers ever came to life at the Groninger Museum in the Gianni Versace Retrospective. This colourful and daring exhibition took visitors inside the eccentric Italian fashion designer’s world of extravagant clothing and lavish catwalk shows in which clothing, pop music and design came together. To celebrate this spectacular road down memory lane, SPICE hosted the festive opening of the retrospective, inviting and obtaining coverage in all media, tv and radio channels. A night to remember!
BIMBA Y LOLA
BIMBA Y LOLA is a creative collective whose collections are characterized by bold colors, edgy prints and original combinations of materials. The label is all about community and spreading its vision through creatives, always with the idea that fashion cannot be separated from art and culture. This is reflected in the various collaborations the brand establishes with (inter)national talents. For the launch of the collection in collaboration with artist Kentaro Okawara, we hosted a canal tour, followed by an instore event. During the canal tour, the bikes of our invitees were decorated with flowers.
We were given the freedom to create a newsworthy and visually appealing concept for dating app Bumble during our famous Kingsday. As Bumble is all about female empowerment and equality, we took the opportunity to solve one of the biggest challenges for women. It is a common problem that there are not enough public restrooms for women. Bumble set out for change and created ‘Bumble Hives’ at different locations in Amsterdam. During one of the biggest and busiest bank holidays in The Netherlands: Koningsdag. Thousands of women were able to use the bumble bathrooms , a calm, clean and safe space for women, and everyone who identifies as woman.
To celebrate the new perfume atelier of Cartier’s ‘’nose’’ Mathilde Laurent we had the opportunity to invite ELLE’s top tier beauty editor Kaira van Wijk to the atelier. Multiple experiences took place, next to dinners and lunches with invitees. The terrace of Mathilde, overlooking the roof of the Madeleine, is also home to a meditation staircase and a place where plants are found, grown to be picked in the morning and drunk later, like warm perfumes – an experience that was included in the trip. An olfactory experience which reminds us that perfumery has not always been a universal practice, and that in the past it was even made in the garden. Personalized perfumes, made live in the atelier were gifted later. The trip resulted in a dedicated article in ELLE. We were allowed to only invite one press contact, so decided ELLE would be a perfect match for this. In return they have established a dedicated interview in print
For the opening of the ESSENTIEL STORE we created all assets for a full ESSENTIEL experience. We located a BAR ESSENTIEL at the store for some cocktails and bites.
Taking BATEAU ESSENTIEL for a short canal tour. And after the canal tour, we arrived at BISTRO ESSENTIEL (full restaurant take over) for a funky dinner and dance. In total there were 150 attendees, of which top media titles such as ELLE, Esquire, Vogue, Numéro, Esquire, Harper’s BAZAAR, Cosmopolitan and all major newspapers. Other guests included an eclectic mix of celebrities, influencers and other inspiring people.
TABLE DU SUD
For Table du Sud, a manufacturer of high-quality tables and furniture, we created and opened ‘Les Tables’. A one-day pop-up restaurant where over 75 guests could take a seat at one of the Table du Sud tables experiencing beautiful vegan food, nice company, and the variety and richness of Table dus Suds assortment.
For the Parisian brand we set up a Marché Sézane at one of the cutest locations in Amsterdam: Buffet van Odette – the store. Press and influencers were invited for a collection preview while filling their petit baskets with tasty french delicacy. The love and support for Sézane turned out to be overwhelming, resulting in many more attendees than expected.
